Resiliency

If we never screwed up, we’d never get to be one of the best things a person can be– resilient. We just don’t gain much at all by balancing on a rock in the middle of the lake and never falling in. Sure we might have something of a streak to brag about– all those days standing in stillness, evoking not even a splash. But honestly what kind of credentials does that lend a person? To never mess up or back slide, or fall completely in.

What I’ve learned in my life is that the only times I really truly *get it* is when I’m sopping wet, uncomfortable, forced to face what’s happened and make my reality something else.

Moment of Gratitude: Fall in, figure it out, then go bask in the sun and know that the only certainty we’re ever given is ourselves and now you get to be THIS person. You get to be more. You get to be resilient.
