For a while when I moved to Wyoming I had an attitude of things being behind me, finished, not to be experienced again. In good ways yes, like jobs and situations and stressors that no longer served me. But in hard ways too– like communities and apartments and neighborhood haunts and even possessions I convinced myself I’d never be able to have again. Its only recently that I’ve realized the only thing stopping me from having those things again is my perception, my intention, my willingness to receive them.
Life is really a lot about receiving and asking for what we want to receive. If we don’t ask for anything, don’t know what to ask for, don’t believe we deserve something– how do we expect to get it?
Moment of Gratitude: Thanksgiving is tomorrow and the ascent of the holiday season, and we’ll all want to give to the people that we love. But let’s allow ourselves to also receive. The only limits to what we can receive being those we place upon ourselves and our dreams.
