This weekend I did nothing except be in the sun, which actually means I did the most I can do. Sometimes I believe that being in the sun is the beginning and end of life’s master plan. Before we had deadlines and neurosises and the faux glow from our screens, we had this one planet and it’s natural ambition to bring us joy.
When I’m 100 and wading through all my memories, I will be drawn towards the ones spent in the sun. For it’s the only thing that makes me feel endlessly happy, without agenda.
Moment of Gratitude: Our ability to overcomplicate life is effortless. But the humble, emphatic truth remains that we are alive because the sun shines, for us.
